What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a guided approach that uses focused inward attention and relaxation to explore patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour - including those that operate at a more automatic or subconscious level.
It is a calm, collaborative process in which you remain in control throughout. Contrary to popular myth, hypnosis does not involve being "put under." It involves entering a focused, trance-like state that allows the mind to engage more openly with habits, responses, and perspectives that sit outside everyday conscious awareness.
In practice, this means working with stress and nervous system responses, habitual or subconscious patterns that shape behaviour, emotional regulation, and the kind of thinking that keeps you stuck in the same place, even when you know something needs to change.
What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) , often referred to as tapping , is a gentle therapeutic approach that combines focused attention on a difficult thought, feeling or memory with light tapping on specific acupressure points on the face and upper body.
The aim is to help reduce the emotional intensity associated with distressing thoughts and feelings, allowing the nervous system to settle and making it easier to think more clearly and respond more calmly.
EFT can be particularly helpful for managing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, grief, fears, limiting beliefs and emotional blocks. Used alongside clinical hypnotherapy, EMDR and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches, it can support emotional regulation, build resilience and help create lasting positive change.
EFT is a collaborative process that can also be taught as a practical self-help technique, giving you a simple tool to use between sessions whenever you need support.
This is for the support of emotional regulation, focused attention and calming the nervous system.

A Holistic, Personalised Approach
I believe effective therapy should be as individual as the person sitting in front of me. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw on a combination of Clinical Hypnotherapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), EMDR where appropriate, and nervous system regulation techniques to create a therapeutic plan tailored specifically to your needs.
Together, we work not only with the thoughts and behaviours that may be keeping you stuck, but also with the body's stress response and emotional patterns that can develop over time. By supporting nervous system regulation alongside therapeutic change, the aim is to help you feel calmer, safer and more resilient, making it easier to process difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies and create lasting, meaningful change. Therapy is always collaborative, compassionate and paced according to your individual needs, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
